Casey resumes leader’s tour in Cape Breton and South Shore

Halifax – Progressive Conservative Leader Karen Casey is happy to be back on schedule as her province-wide tour of all 52 constituencies resumes this week in Cape Breton. The tour was put on hold in September due to the sitting of the House of Assembly which wrapped up November 5.
“We had a good session in the House and it is now time to start hearing from Nova Scotians.”
Casey’s tour will begin on Thursday, November 12 in the constituencies of Cape Breton South, Cape Breton Nova, Cape Breton Centre and Glace Bay and wrap up on Friday, November 13 in Cape Breton North. She will also be meeting with ACOA Minister Keith Ashfield while in Cape Breton.
After her visit to Cape Breton, Casey will take part in meetings on the South Shore, visiting communities in Argyle, Clare and Yarmouth from November 16 – 18.
Casey is expected to meet with association members, leaders in business and industry, and constituents.
“My goal for this tour continues to be listening to Nova Scotians,” said Casey. “We are at a critical juncture in our province’s history, and I believe Nova Scotians need the opportunity to meet with their leader in their own communities and to articulate their needs to me at that time.”
