INVERNESS – Five Inverness County organizations have received operational assistance to continue providing cultural experiences for visitors and local residents.

“Our region is blessed with a wealth of cultural activity,” said Inverness MLA-elect Allan MacMaster. “These organizations provide infrastructure so we can maintain the traditions handed to us from our forebears. They also provide a home for our artists to showcase their creativity.”

Conseil des Arts de Cheticamp, Strathspey Place, Inverness County Council of the Arts, Federation Culturelle Acadienne de la Nouvelle-Ecosse and the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre have received support totaling $127,000.

The funding is through the Operational Assistance for Cultural Organizations Program within the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Heritage.
