SYDNEY, NS - Cape Breton Progressive Conservatives MLAs accepted the CBRM's invitation to meet regarding concerns about decreases in health-care services, says Caucus Chair and Victoria-The Lakes MLA Keith Bain.
"We don't need to wait for the official invite to arrive in the mail," said Bain. "This is an important issue on Cape Breton Island and we welcome any opportunity to bring our concerns to the table."
On February 21st, PC leader Jamie Baillie and members of the Cape Breton PC Caucus met with Cape Breton District Health Authority CEO John Malcom and board chair Yvon LeBlanc.
"The NDP continue to rack up deficits, but they cannot balance the budget on the backs of patients while they continue to support a crippling bureaucratic structure," said Bain.
Cape Breton West MLA Alfie MacLeod, Cape Breton North MLA Eddie Orrell, Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster and Bain are encouraging all elected municipal, provincial and federal officials to answer the call of the CBRM.
